Better and faster: the Peplink Summit 2025 round-up
01 Jul, 2025
New partnerships, new ideas: Powerful product developments and the Iridium partnership were the key standouts at this year’s Peplink Summit.
Need-to-know: The Peplink Summit 2025 summary
New partnerships, new products, new ideas: this year’s Peplink Summit did not disappoint.
We asked James Webster for his takeaways from this eagerly-awaited event.
James is our Senior Infrastructure Engineer and has over 10 year’s enterprise experience with Peplink, including working directly with them as a support engineer.
The potential of new product developments and the Iridium partnership, as well as the strength demonstrated by the Peplink eco-system, were the key standouts at this year’s event for him.
Bigger and better: new and improved products from Peplink in 2025
New products and capabilities from Peplink are addressing evolving connectivity needs, especially around high-throughput requirements and flexibility.
- Balance 5000 EC – Peplink's largest ever router has 30Gbps of bonded throughput or 110Gbps of raw routing throughput. It’s “massively quick”, says James. It delivers seamless multi-site connectivity and multi-cloud networking designed for large-scale deployments or mission-critical operations. Handling an entire company's connectivity load in a single device eliminates the need to cluster multiple Peplinks.
- Updated 1350 EC, 710, 580: Get ready for refreshed and updated versions of existing Peplink router models, with improved speeds and performance.
We also got a sneak peek at several soon-to-be released technologies which will improve the flexibility of how Peplink products can be integrated and open new options for edge computing.
We can’t share these yet but watch this space – as soon as we can show you more, we will!
Peplink and Iridium partnership: bringing connectivity right to the edges
In addition to their updated and new products, Peplink brings a new partnership to the table – with Iridium Communications Inc, a provider of pole-to-pole satellite communications for industries operating in remote, mobile, and mission-critical environments.
Peplink has integrated Iridium connectivity into their products providing another satellite option in addition to Starlink and others. Here’s the need to know:
- Iridium provides low-bandwidth satellite connectivity, with speeds around 700 kbps.
- This connectivity works anywhere in the world where there is a view of the Iridium satellites, even in remote locations like the North Pole.
- The low-latency Iridium connectivity is intended for uses like emergency services and mining where a basic internet connection is essential at all times and in all locations.
The partnership gives customers using Peplink devices yet another failover option for mission-critical connectivity, especially in extreme locations and situations such as mining and energy.
Whether it’s uninterrupted communications at sea, real-time tracking for emergency response teams, or remote IoT deployment - this means unbreakable connectivity in the most remote corners of the planet.
Venn has a really close working relationship with Peplink, as James illustrates. “I often email the engineering team direct to say, there's an issue here and could we do this? And they do. They've added, in the last six months, several new features that we've asked them for.”
This responsivity to client needs is what sets Peplink apart and this year’s summit showed Peplink continuing to listen and to push the boundaries of what’s possible. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with them on our shared vision of a world with reliable connectivity, anywhere and everywhere it’s needed.
